Yves - Maverick

The Maverick colorway adds unexpected depth to a black acetate frame by layering clear acetate behind the frontal piece, and inverting the construction for the temples.

It was one of the early variations that showed how JMM could keep stockists and collectors engaged, proving there was still room to innovate with black frames.

At the time, many wondered how Jacques Marie Mage would continue to reinvent and surprise season after season—especially with staple colors like black, where the combinations seemed finite. The Maverick stands as proof that the brand could push the narrative forward, leaning into a more sporty expression while maintaining the sharpness and edge that black is known for.

Initially, the Maverick was paired with intermediate orange lenses, but this example later received a set of original JMM dark navy lenses upon request. The frame has been gently used and is now offered as a one-off example of the Yves Maverick.

Offered in like-new condition, with box and papers.
