DITA Eyewear: Embodying A Discreet Luxury
Founded in 1995, DITA's first collection was inspired by vintage frames and sported retro silhouettes and bold colored lenses. Over the years this independent eyewear brand has partnered with master artisans in Japan and combined traditional techniques with cutting-edge computer-aided design technology, the same used to design the world's finest watches and automobiles, to create eyewear that embodies discreet luxury.
It can take up to 350 steps and 8 months to produce a single piece of DITA eyewear. This meticulous process draws upon the skills and knowledge of master artisans in Japan and modern production techniques and technologies, to guarantee frames made to the highest of quality. For example, master artisans shape and polish frames, running their hands over the frames countless times until they are sure they are free from the slightest of imperfections or imbalances.
DITA eyewear is made from either high-grade beta titanium or premium Japanese acetate. Beta titanium is light, durable, and flexible, allowing for an exceptional fit and a sophisticated look. Their acetate frames are tumbled in hand-cut bamboo chips, and this traditional process results in a rich, smooth finish that can be seen and felt.
