GRAND-APX is a study in juxtaposition, bringing together opposing elements in a thought-provoking design. An oversized character frame, true to a defining pillar of DITA’s DNA, it explores the balance between gentle and bold, rigid and soft, excessive and minimal.
Bold hardware and fasteners establish a commanding presence, while sculpted, multi-piece hinges introduce a more delicate dimension. Horizontal wire cores, visible beneath the surface along the top and bottom of the frame, reveal an underlying rigidity softened by the surrounding design. A three-piece hinge with enamel inlay adds a layer of considered excess, maintaining a minimalist appearance at first glance.
Every detail is intentional, culminating in a distinctive frame with a presence that stands entirely on its own.
